CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program that focuses on improving General Physical Preparedness (GPP). CrossFit is defined as constantly varied, functional movements performed at a high intensity.

In CrossFit, you will run, jump, row, pull, push, throw, lift and use your body in the way it was meant to be used. The workouts vary from day-to-day, and we always push ourselves to find new limits.
The entire CrossFit program is designed to do one thing – increase your fitness. Fitness is an increase in work capacity over broad times and modal domains. Or in other words, our ability to move more weight, further distance, faster.

The idea of World Class Fitness, summed up to 100 words by CrossFit founder, Greg Glassman:

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc., hard and fast. Five or six days per week, mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.

Yep. CrossFit is for everyone regardless of age or current fitness level. Every workout can be modified to support each person’s specific goals. On one end of the spectrum we have athletes who train to compete and on the other end of the spectrum, athletes who train to stay functionally fit. Regardless, we all workout in class together using  prescribed or scaled versions of the lifts and movements that are identified in the programmed Workout of the Day (WOD) or selected by the Coach. At CrossFit70, our members come from different athletic backgrounds. Some were varsity athletes in high school or college, and for others, this has been their first time working out. But, one thing is the same for everybody – we are all here to improve our health and fitness level. You may even accomplish things you thought were impossible!

In addition to over 2,000 square feet of workout space, we have an unsupervised kid’s room, 2 bathrooms and plenty of parking.

Nope. All we ask, is that you have the desire and commitment to improve your fitness.
